SMC Bulletin Board: August

It's Back to School season, and we've got so many exciting things going on here at Support My Club! We can't wait to help Arizona students get access to the extracurricular supplies they need!

Our club sponsor platform for the 2023-2024 school year was launched at the end of July, and 9 clubs from 8 different schools across Arizona have already registered. With over 30 items already requested (and the wish lists growing every day!), student organizations are requesting anything from power tools to camera equipment to craft supplies. You can learn more about these student organizations and sign up as a donor by clicking here, or connect with Pinky to support a specific school, activity or item that matches your own passions.

Mark your calendars! Our second annual Adult Homecoming fundraiser is on October 21st, and the theme is Hollywood. It's sure to be a night to remember. Don't delay; click here to get your tickets today!

Donor Spotlight: Phoenix IDA

Phoenix IDA is a nonprofit community investor that supports innovative and high-quality projects in underserved communities. We are thrilled to have received a grant from them to support teams and clubs within the Phoenix Union High School District.

SMC Club of the Month: National Spanish Honor Society at BASIS Peoria

The mission of the National Spanish Honor Society is to recognize high school achievement in Spanish and Portuguese and to promote interest in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian studies. NSHS helps students understand the Spanish-speaking world from outside the classroom by experiencing music, arts, and food from around the world through field trips, guest speakers, and other opportunities. To give back to the community members, NSHS will be running a donation drive to source dental supplies for agricultural migrant workers that will be collected by a local non-profit organization. Additionally, they will have various drives throughout the school year for other items like clothes and toiletries to be dispersed to various populations. NSHS is requesting a variety of Spanish language board games to encourage students to practice spontaneous speech and collaborative skills while developing their Spanish literacy skills, word recall, and vocabulary in a fun and interactive way. You can view their profile on our website here.

Ways to Give: Become a Homecoming Sponsor We are actively seeking event sponsors for our upcoming Adult Homecoming fundraiser to help us fulfill our mission of supporting students on their path to graduation by fulfilling the needs of school clubs and teams.
