North High School's Link Crew provides the structure for freshmen to receive support and guidance from juniors and seniors who have been through the challenges that high school poses, and understand that the transition to a larger school can sometimes be overwhelming.
The Link Crew Leaders involved in the club help increase their school's attendance, lower rates of misconduct, mentor incoming freshmen and serve their school community. To encourage and promote the work that these student leaders have done all year, the club's sponsor, Jack Carpenter planned a celebratory event to highlight the leaders' thoughtful service. To help fund the event, Carpenter reached out to Support My Club who was able to provide catering to the event and provide the leaders with brand-new t-shirts.
In support of our mission, Carpenter stated that "Extracurriculars are the soul and lifeblood of a student's school experience. This is where students learn those life skills which they will use their whole life. Extracurriculars are also so motivating for students- it is one of the magnets that get students to come to school and stay in school!"
Support My Club is excited to see the awesome work that these students are doing on campus and thanks to the generosity of our donors we were able to encourage them to keep up the good work.
