Organization: Cesar Chavez High School
WHAT: Student Government attends the 3 day Arizona Association of Student Council's State Convention annually. The total cost per student is about $100 to attend the convention, which includes registration, room and board.
WHY: The convention is an amazing tool for leaders from around the state to receive training and hear motivational speakers to further their leadership skills and bring those ideas back to their schools. Cesar Chavez High School is a school with an extremely high rate of free and reduced lunch and students struggle to pay for the fees to attend these conferences. Money should not be the reason for students to miss out on such amazing opportunities.
