Recruitment and Outreach Club (ROC)

Do you have school pride? Are you involved on campus? Then, help your school increase its involvement with Support My Club!

This pilot program will involve high school students with recruitment and outreach endeavors on behalf of Support My Club.  In its pilot semester, ROC will be open to four high schools: Camelback, McClintock, North, and Trevor Browne.  Each campus ROC will comprise of four sophomore, junior, and/or senior students. We are searching for students who are involved in many clubs, with at least one of those clubs involved with SMC. It is essential that the student can attest to how SMC has helped their club reach its potential.

Requirements of a ROC member:

Working as a team, the ROC is responsible for visiting all clubs on campus at least once per semester. During these visits, ROC members will promote SMC, show the user-friendly registration process, answer questions and share SMC success stories. The four students selected for ROC must cover all club categories: arts, athletics, academics, and activities. The ROC will promote club achievements and serve as a liaison between its campus and SMC. The ROC will collaborate with the Assistant Principal to increase SMC registrations, create promotional material on TV/Announcements, and brainstorm creative ways to expand SMC outreach. ROC members are required to attend the Training/Orientation session (off campus), a mid-semester meeting (on campus), and an end-of-semester party (off campus).

Why should I join ROC?:

Being a ROC member will provide invaluable leadership experience and strengthen collaboration, marketing, organization, and creativity skills and abilities. This leadership experience will be well-received on college and scholarship applications. Involvement with ROC will provide community character reference letters from SMC staff for college and scholarship applications. To incentivize ROC members to increase SMC clubs registrations, SMC will provide  Donut, Pizza, and Dinner & Movie contests. Once the pilot ROC program is complete, ROC will expand into all schools. At that time, SMC will award an annual financial scholarship and the application will only be available to past and current ROC members. Imagine competing for a scholarship with only a handful of other students - - fantastic odds!
