We the People is a constitutional government class and club. Students learn the philosophy and structure of the U.S. Constitution, the institutions of government, and the rights, responsibilities, and duties of being an engaged citizen. In small groups, We the People students prepare statements for competition -- a mock congressional hearing. They present their case for four minutes and have real-life judges question their testimony for six minutes! Hamilton High School has won the district competition and placed in the top three schools at the state competition for over 12 years!
