Thunderbird High

Thunderbird High School was established as part of the Glendale Union High School District in 1972. Along with being ranked among the best high schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report and Newsweek, Thunderbird is a part of the College Board’s 2013 National Advanced Placement District of the Year. The Arizona Department of Education has rated Thunderbird an “A” school. In 2012, Thunderbird underwent new construction to rebuild classrooms. The construction was generated using funds from a 2011 bond. Thunderbird High School is located in Phoenix near 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.
