Sprockets/Voltage High School Robotics - Arizona School for the Arts - By Created Date: Newest to Oldest
ASA Robotics is the ultimate adventure in academic application. Combining the excitement of competition with collegiate-level rigor in science and technology, students exercise their minds without the pressure of grades and tests. Structured within a fun framework students are challenged to raise funds, design a "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded scholars. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Most important is the positive impact on the students. Survey indicates more than 88% have a greater interest in doing well in school, and 92% are more interested in attending college. ALL talents and skill levels are welcome and needed, technical or non-technical. Creativity and innovation are just as valuable as mechanics and programming. Even if you are unsure of the crucial contribution you will make, come check it out. Starring roles have no show without the supporting cast.
Last year we went from one team competing in First Tech Challenge to two teams competing in First Tech Challenge. Sprockets is mainly made up of boys grades 8-12 and Voltage is mainly made up of girls grades 8-12.
