This club supports and sustains life-long social studies education through campus participation in and publication of events relating to both local and national history.
Every month, students travel to a different local museum or historic site or listen to speakers to discuss a variety of engaging topics. Additionally, every semester, on campus we host a historical theme night with local historians and influential community leaders.
Last year, we hosted “Holocaust Remembrance Night” and invited Holocaust Survivor Oskar Noble to speak at a two-hour engagement. Also, we recently took over 20 students to participate in the Arizona Renaissance Festival to engage directly in living history.
We promote educational experiences and leadership opportunities in this extracurricular, academic club.
