Program Manager
Position Overview: This position is responsible for the growth and sustainability of the Support My Club program through establishing and maintaining high school relationships, serving as the Support My Club representative to high school club members, sponsors and principals. Plans, directs, and coordinates all of Support My Club’s programmatic activities by performing the following duties:
Build and Maintain Relationships (60%):

Schools:
- Initiate contact with school districts, principals and additional school staff to enroll new high school sites
- Cultivate school relationships through in person visits and email updates to share club successes with school administration
- Maintain direct relationships with students though cultivation of student groups
- Oversee student ROC (Recruitment and Outreach Council) program
- Design and send teacher newsletter monthly
- Attend on campus events to promote Support My Club
- Work with President and other staff on strategic plan for program expansion and partnerships

Organizational:
- Ongoing cultivation of local and national student organizational relationships (ie: Student Council, FEA, FBLA)
- Ongoing cultivation of local and national 3rd party organizations (i.e. Teach for America, AIA)
- Ongoing cultivation of local adult organizational relationships (ie: Booster Clubs, PTOs, Alumni Groups)
- Attend community events (conferences, conventions) when presence supports the enrollment of new schools and/or clubs
- All of the above will require regular travel in Maricopa County and will require periodic travel statewide to develop school relationships
Club Management (20%):
- Conduct outreach at school sites to promote club registration with club sponsors and team coaches
- Ensure that each new club is appropriately on-boarded with a welcome packet including welcome letter and follow up instructions
- Manage club accountability through follow up to ensure that thank you notes are received in a timely manner
- Manage club accountability for the completion of community service hours and recommend community service opportunities to clubs
- Deliver an active and continuous presence among club sponsors and club officers on behalf of the organization to encourage upload of additional items
- Ongoing strengthening of club sponsor and team coach relationships to ensure longevity
- Train and support clubs/teams with best practices for promoting themselves and how to create their own donors, include in initial pitch to clubs
- Encourage students to engage with their community through booths (i.e. at school games, fairs, etc)
- Oversee and implement teacher education series (including events for sponsors/coaches)
- Design and conduct end of semester sponsor survey and report results
Donation Management (10%):
- Prepare and deliver donation items to clubs that are received in the SMC office
- Work with SMC team to invite donors/board members/key players to deliver large items
Additional Team Duties (10%):
- Provide club/student stories to President, Development Officer, and team for fundraising support
- Oversee a Program Assistant intern
- Support creation of marketing materials including but not limited to agency videos, brochures, etc.
- Coordinate SMC programmatic volunteers, delegating responsibility when needed
- Assist in planning annual signature Philanthropy Bar event
- Attend evening and weekend events when necessary
- Set up and manage booths at community events/conferences
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in nonprofit management, social sciences, education, or related area
- 1-3 years experience in marketing, sales, or communications
- Experience in education and/or nonprofit a plus
- Strong communication skills and organizational skills
- Unstoppable personality with an ability to create working relationships
- Creative problem solver
- Basic knowledge of high school extracurricular activities and costs associated with participation
- Required background check and fingerprint clearance card (at the expense of SMC, upon job offer)
