"I want to tell my kids someday that I was part of a change..."

I believe that every student should be involved in an extracurricular at their school. Being involved in an extracurricular to me means that you’re putting all you’ve got into something you love. There so many different after school activities that you can choose from. Being involved in extracurriculars helps you make more friends, you have fun doing what you love, and most importantly you are discovering who you are.
Support My Club influences my school in a way that teaches students lessons in life such as leadership, equality, and even teamwork. Furthermore, Support My Club helps students stay involved in clubs and sports to prepare for the real world. I am involved in clubs/sports on top of balancing schoolwork because I want to tell my kids someday that I was part of a change for North.
Both clubs and sports teach you a lot about teamwork. I was recently on the JV Basketball team at North. One thing that I learned about being in the team is that if you win, you win as a team and if you lose, you lose as a team. I also learned that blaming others won’t get the team anywhere; it will just cause many issues.
In conclusion, being involved with your school and balancing schoolwork is great way to prepare you for what’s going to happen once you go out to the real world.
